What's New In Muh WurLd
Under Construction!!!!!
Jokingly one day in a chat room, me and some girls mentioned the idea of a bgirl summit. I saw more though. I posted my idea on many a guest board, and recieved, some very angry, some very stupid and some real, replies. I also recieved a email from EMD of bgirlstyle.com, who was interested in this idea. ON their website, i had recieved a email about why should we bring down our bboy brothers and sons. THIS IS NOT MY INTENTION. Following is the response I wrote to EMD, which I have then since posted on many a site. For all those wondering, I do NOT plan to have this event in Alaska. I am currently thinking of Los Angelos, or Dallas. READ ON======>

I was discussing how sexually oriented our culture is some times with some other bgirls, and we jokingly mentioned the idea of a Bgirl Summit. I saw more though. Even if it is only by title, the boys have an event, BBoy Summit. I did recieve a response to your guest book entry about why shouldnt we be united and have one event, instead of two.
In a perfect hiphop utopia, this would easily be accomplished, but we do not live in a time where our culture, let alone society has come to a unified sexual stance. I would love to say that our culture is unified with no divisional cracks lying upon it's colorful fabric, but to say that would be a lie.
I also do not wish to deepen those cracks into fissures, not at all. That is not my intention. I feel though, that there are relevant issues concerning women from all elements of hiphop, that need to be discussed. Coming from a place where I and my best friend are the only bgirls in the whole state, it is very easy to feel alone sometimes. My intention is to have a gathering for the women of the culture, so that important issues can be discussed, and we can come together as one to unify ourselves, before we attempt to unify our brothers and sons as well. This is not to say though that I wish to deny bboys entrance to this event. As you know, many Bgirls attend the BBoy Summit. But I do plan to have the event be Bgirl oriented.
WE are the mothers and sisters of the culture, and therefore a huge responsibility lies upon our shoulder to keep the seams of hiphop fabric united. We MUST stand as one, before we even attempt to unify others.
The BGirl Summit, if that is what it will even be called, is still an idea, and although just an idea,I wish to see it happen. I am not sure where even to begin, I do some promoting for local clubs up here in Anchorage, but nothing to the extremes of what I am putting before myself in this new challenge. This is why I broadcasted my idea on many guest books, along with eternal 2 creations, which, ironically, I have not recieved a response from. I am very overjoyed to see that someone is interested. I dont want to do this on my own, I would like it to be a huge effort from many around the nation, males and females. Maybe even the
organization in itself will help unify.
Sincerely,
Bgirl Fynesse
